Madeleine Wong is currently a third year at UC Berkeley pursuing simultaneous degrees at the Haas School of Business and the Rausser College of Natural Resources in Business Administration and Environmental Economics and Policy. She serves on the Student Advisory Board at the Center for Responsible Business and helps run a student consulting organization called the Association for Socially Responsible Business. Her motivation for this work comes from frustrations in her own lived experience in the burarcry of higher education and navigating a historically white environmental movement. She is firm in her belief that environmental justice is inextricably linked to social and economic justice and has hope for a sustainable and equitable future. She will be spending her summer working as a Sustainability and Factory Compliance intern at Kohls to test out the corporate world and spent her Spring Break outdoors: backpacking through Big Sur and visiting National Parks!
Madeleine *just* completed the course Sustainable Capitalism in the Nordics, taught by Robert Strand.
