Peter is a freshman pursuing double majors in Environmental Economics & Policy and Data Science in Sustainable Engineering with the support of the Norwegian green-tech startup Evoy.
He’s the founder of The Berkeley Environmental Explorers Society, a student researcher at the Undergraduate Laboratory at Berkeley, and a part of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Student Leadership Council on campus.
His spare time is spent hiking, surfing, and dreaming about skiing back home on the west coast of Norway.
Before coming to Berkeley, Peter spent a year in an international school in Oxford, a gap year in Tel Aviv attempting to start his own knowledge-exchange platform, and he recently returned from 2 months studying digitally in Central America.
In the coming spring, Peter intends to pursue his interest in Mandarin in a study-abroad program at The Peking University in China.
What motivates him is seeing advancements in technology that alleviates human suffering. Aiming for such an advancement, he intends to continue his career in sustainability through hopefully starting his own successful international company or non-profit one day.
